The Cuba Cheese Shoppe Salt Rising bread is made locally in Olean, NY and is noted for it's stinky smell.

Ingredients:  Made with enriched bromated bleached flour (wheat four, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, potassium bromate, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, corn meal, milk powder, yeast, sugar, vegetable shortening (partially hydrogenated soybean oil and partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil).  Salt, baking soda.

I prefer the Cuba Cheese bread over the Angelica.... It's really good!!


This is the best Salt Rising Bread available! it's like a trip down Memory lane since my late Dad was raised in Olean, NY where Cuba Cheese Salt Rising bread is made. I even remember the bakery in Olean that makes this bread for Cuba Cheese Shop!


The flavor of this bread is much like it used to be when I was a child 30 yrs ago This is the one if you want to remember true Salt Rising bread flavor and smell👍
