Cheese curd from this little shop is the best we've ever eaten. My grandfather ran a little cheese factory in the early 1900's, and our family has always considered "curd" a real treat.
Good cheese curd, for us old timers, has to be firm and "squeaky" to the tooth. There are several bands of curd in the supermarkets, none of which have this desired quality.
Those not familiar with this treat are put off by the word, "curd," and we should reassure them that the product has nothing to do with curdling, or spoiling.!!

We stumbled upon this fine product at the Cuba Garlic Festival last year (our third visit). In one word…WOW! I have purchased what we have locally in Buffalo, NY and it does NOT compare!! Rest assured, we will defiantly be purchasing as much as we can this year. I do have one question. Can this be frozen for future use? If so, I will plan to purchase as much as we can carry!! This is the best tasting curd we have ever had!!!

I live in Tx where cheese curd is unheard of. My husband is from NY and loves cheese curd so much. Luckily, I have been able to order from Cuba to his delight. They have the best curd anywhere around! I had ordered from another company and was not impressed at all - it was wet and squeaky. I will always order from Cuba Cheese Shoppe there nothing better!

My Mom & Dad are from the Cuba,Olean an Allengany area, and every year daddy would go deer hunting up there. When he would come home he would stock up on lots of Cheese Curd and Cheddar Cheese. Us kids (5 of us) would sit down and eat a whole tub of cheese curd. Now I am 40 years older and still love the texture and taste of cuba curd. This STUFF IS THE BEST..

My grandpa was a cheesemaker in Cattaraugus County in the late 1800's - early 1900's. Our family has high standards for curd... It MUST be squeaky on the tooth when bitten! City supermarket chains can't provide the firm, salty, "squeaky" texture we love. We go back & forth to Florida all year, and pack it in our luggage if we're flying, or fill a cooler for a road trip. It's also reassuring to know that, if no one is traveling, we can order it online!
